Who is Harvey Brown and why does it matter?

Harvey Brown is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of New York. He is the principle broker of Dirt Road Realty, an Exclusive Buyers Agency. Harvey is a retired executive, Vice President for a national television network, and he is utilizing the very same fiduciary skills on behalf of home buyers. Harvey’s natural ability to focus on and fully research the task at hand resonates in his dedication to being a Buyer’s Agent. He was honored by The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences with an Emmy Award for his excellence in the field of News Reports and Harvey has a strong desire to bring that same level of excellence to every single client of Dirt Road Realty. Harvey wants to make a difference for his clients.

Professionally, Harvey is a member of the Realtor Association, the Multiple Listing System (MLS), the National Association of Exclusive Buyer Agents (NAEBA) and the Rhinebeck Chamber of Commerce. He also uses his business expertise to serve several non-profit organizations both in upstate NY and NYC.

Personally, Harvey and his wife Anne are very involved and active in their community. They are sponsors for the Rhinebeck Farmer’s Market - you can catch Anne there on Sundays when she is a volunteer. They also support the Starr Library in Rhinebeck, NY where Anne is on the Board of Trustees.

Harvey and Anne immensely enjoy the arts so their proud patronage of the Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at Bard College reflects the spirit of their commitment. They have recently become involved with the promotion and growth of a local theater group - Tangent Arts in Tivoli, NY.

How Did Dirt Road Realty Get Started and why it is beneficial for you?

Harvey Brown’s professional profile reflects his qualities of loyalty and commitment. When it came time to change career paths, Harvey wanted to be able to continue to express these qualities in the field of real estate. Harvey felt the best way he could truly achieve 100% of these qualities was to represent only one party.

There are about 25 traditional real estate offices in and around the Rhinebeck area that serve the seller AND the buyer; Harvey felt that it was time that there was an agency that would exclusively represent the BUYER. Therefore, Harvey started Dirt Road Realty - an Exclusive Buyer Agency. Harvey feels that it is a win-win situation for him personally, as well as for the buyer. Being an Exclusive Buyer Agent permits him to help the buyer find the right property no matter where it might be - he does not have to limit the buyer to one town or area or to an agency’s listing.
